The Precast Division of Area Erectors is looking for additional foremen to
help take on an increasing workload. Previous experience with erecting precast
is required, and an emphasis of experience with parking decks and multi-story
architectural projects is preferred. Potential earnings for this position are
$75,000 to $100,000 per year. Certification for welding in all positions is also
required. Area is signatory with both the Ironworker and Bricklayer unions and
is willing to organize those individuals that have the experience and
qualifications to fill the open positions. Area is a highly safety conscious
erector with attention to quality and value of paramount importance at all
times. All applicants should have similar values and be comfortable with a team
approach to precast erection.
While previous experience as a foreman is preferred, Area is also willing to
train or condition applicants into a foreman position if the applicant shows
applicable experience to take the next step to this position.
Area is also looking to add more Crane Operators to its staff. With the
addition of a few new cranes to Area’s fleet, the need for experienced
operators has become apparent. Experience hoisting steel and/or precast is a
priority for applicants. Area’s crane fleet ranges from 15 ton truck cranes to
300 ton crawlers, so knowledge and experience with a range of cranes would be
advantageous.
Area Erectors installs precast and steel in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and
occasionally Michigan and Iowa. The greater majority of work occurs in and
around Chicago.
