The Precast Division of Area Erectors has been in existence for 19 years.  This division specializes in installation of precast concrete panels for many different applications.  Uses for this product are as limitless as the imagination, however Area Erectors focuses its efforts to structural and architectural applications such as parking decks, warehouses, hotels, office buildings, and many others with similar attributes. 

This division has 11 foreman and employs approximately 30 additional regular employees to work in the field and make sure that Area jobs are erected as well as possible.  In the office, Area employs one office manager, three estimators/project managers, and one field superintendent to keep all the jobs running smoothly.  The precast division works very closely with all the other divisions whenever possible to incorporate field employees and improve efficiency on the jobs for all the divisions, so the actual number of active employees at any given time varies greatly.

Since this division is the only one to erect precast in the company, its territory is limited only by the adaptability of its employees.  The typical range of jobs is from as far south as Bloomington, IL to an approximate northern boundary of Madison, WI where it works with the Milwaukee/Wisconsin division.  The eastern limit is about the Indiana border and Area goes as far west as just inside the state line of Iowa.  Area has made some exceptions to this for various reasons, but this range is pretty much the limit to its employees' traveling ability.

In order to limit the amount of confusion and maintain good relationships, the precast division works almost exclusively for precast fabricators directly.  While certain conditions or situations of a job may require a different approach, Area has found working directly for fabricators, as a subcontractor of a subcontractor, to be the most accommodating and efficient way of contracting jobs.
